Your Review Has a Bigger Voice Here.
Online reviews can be incredibly helpful, but shoppers should also be aware that not every review on an online marketplace necessarily reflects a genuine product experience.
As a small business, we've encountered reviews and return claims describing product defects that don't match what we've received back — including products returned to us unopened, despite claims about characteristics that could only have been evaluated after opening and using the product.
Review and return manipulation is a real issue in online marketplaces. Sometimes the motivation is competitive: false negative reviews and other forms of marketplace manipulation can be used in an attempt to damage a competing product's reputation, lower its rating, and gain market share.
For a small brand, it doesn't take many. A handful of reviews can have an outsized effect on a product's rating and on what future shoppers see.
We're sharing this because we think shoppers deserve to know that it happens.
If you've purchased one of our puzzles, we invite you to leave an honest review — truly honest. We don't expect every review to be five stars, and we don't want you to tell us what you think we'd like to hear. Your genuine experience — good, bad, or somewhere in between — helps other puzzlers make informed decisions.
Read the reviews. Read the product description. Look at the photos. And make your own judgment.
